John Van Harken

A commercially focused lawyer, with more than 30 years experience in the IT industry, specializing in the financial services sector, John manages the Legal and Compliance functions globally at Teciem.

John has advised both private and public companies in the negotiation of multi-million pound deals for mission critical software with investment, commercial and retail banks in Europe, the US , Africa and Asia.

In his prior role, John was Vice President – Legal and Commercial Operations with Misys and subsequently with Finastra, where he led a team of lawyers, paralegals and commercial managers.

John established his career in Law at DePaul University College of Law graduating with a JD degree and was admitted to the Illinois Bar in 1994. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a BS degree in Biology.
